The question I am asked most at art festival is "Do you do commissions?" Of course! I can use almost any piece of clothing to build a very personal piece. Dresses are the most common, but I have also used a slip, (shown) a pair of boys overalls, even a corset! Some fabrics just don't work well, velvets for example (sorry Elvis) but most will surprise you!

If you think you'd like to commission a piece, either call or email, and we'll talk about the possibilities. I can incorporate photos, a word or two, the possibilities are endless. Pop the garment in the mail, and when we've finalize the details I'll get started. Depending on my schedule, there may be a bit of a wait, but worth it!

I will accept commissions to do most any subject and will execute them in either watercolor, pen and ink, or pencil.

Most often, I am asked to do a "house portrait" that is, someone's current or previous home. Often it is the family home that everyone remembers from their childhood. Special locations that have special meaning are also frequently requested.

Prices depend on size and complexity of the subject. If multiples of a subject are needed, affordable giclee prints can be made from the original.

I can work from photographs, so it is not necessary that I actually go to the location of the desired subject.

If you would like to discuss a possible commission please give me a call.
